For Patients

BENEFITS OF ANESTHESIA

Is this a good option for you or your child?

Most dental procedures can be done with local anesthesia alone or sometimes in conjunction with an oral sedative and/or nitrous oxide sedation.  However, certain complex cases, anxious patients, and children may require a more controlled and deeper level of anesthesia.

Patients that can benefit from sedation and/or general anesthesia include:

  • Children

  • Adults

  • Patients with special needs

  • Anxious or fearful patients

  • Patients having surgical procedures

  • Patients with a severe gag reflex

  • Patients that have difficulty getting numb

  • Patients that simply do not wish to be aware during the procedure

Dr. Carillo strives for providing patients with a comfortable and pleasant dental experience. You will have the opportunity to speak with your anesthesiologist prior to your appointment.

An anesthesiologist will constantly be with you or your child throughout the entire procedure and recovery period. This allows for a safer and more comfortable experience at the dentist’s office.

 Put your anxieties to rest!
